Automatic collection of information
Cookies: Our Company use “Cookies” to collect information which includes, without limitation, third-party cookies like Google and Facebook. Accepting Cookies is not a prerequisite for using the Site. We would, however, like to point out that the Cookies are important for marketing and analytics. You can accordingly select if you wish to activate or deactivate cookies using the settings available in your browser. Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive, at a web site’s request. The Company Cookies do not collect any personal information till such time you make a purchase on our Site. The Cookies are used primarily for the following purposes:
The Cookies used by the Site may come from the Company or advertising partners. If you only wish to accept the Company’s Cookies, but not our advertising partners’ Cookies, you can choose the corresponding setting in your browser (e.g. “block third-party cookies”). The help function in your web browser’s menu bar generally shows you have to reject new Cookies, and to turn off Cookies which have already been received. We recommend that you completely log out after you finish using the Site on shared computers which are set to accept Cookies and flash Cookies.
Our services use three categories of Cookies:
Necessary Cookies: These Cookies are required for optimal navigation and operation of the Site. For example, these Cookies are used to implement the basket function, such that the goods in your basket stay saved while you continue with the purchase. The necessary Cookies also serve to save particular inputs and settings which you have made so that you don’t have to constantly repeat them, and to adapt Company’s content to your individual interests. Only limited use of the Site is possible without necessary Cookies.
Statistical Cookies: These Cookies collect device and access data to analyse the use of the Site, such as which areas of the Site are used how (so-called surfing behaviour), how fast content is loaded and whether errors occur. These Cookies only contain anonymous or pseudonymous information and are only used to improve the Site and to find out what our users are interested in, and to measure how effective our advertising is. Statistical Cookies can be blocked without adversely affecting the navigation and operation of the Site.
Marketing Cookies (“tracking cookies”): These Cookies contain identifiers and collect device and access data, in order to adapt personalised advertising on the Site to your individual interests. Our advertising partners who operate online advertising networks also collect device and access data on the Site. This allows us to display personalised advertising on other websites and in other providers’ apps which fits your interests (so-called retargeting). Marketing Cookies can be blocked without adversely affecting the navigation and operation of the Site. Shopping personalisation may, however, not be possible.
Web beacons: We may also place small “tracker gifs” or “beacons” on many of the pages on the Site, in online advertising with third parties, and in our email. We use these beacons, in connection with Cookies, to collect non-personal data on the usage of our site including but not limited to the date and time of the visit, the pages visited, the referring web page, the type of browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, NetScape), the type of operating system (e.g., Windows, Linux, or Mac), and the domain name of the visitor’s internet service provider (e.g., AOL). We also include web beacons or similar technologies in our electronic communications to determine whether you open and act on them.
In addition to placing web beacons on the Site, we sometimes work with other companies to place our web beacons on their websites or in their advertisements. We also use web beacons or similar technologies from third-party analytics providers, which help us compile aggregated statistics about the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns or other operations. This helps us develop statistics on how often clicking on an advertisement on our website results in a purchase or other action on the advertiser’s website. This information is useful in, for example, tracking the performance of our online advertising such as online banner ads and to determine where to place future advertising on other web sites. These technologies enable the analytics providers to set or read their own Cookies or other identifiers on your device, through which they can collect information about your online activities across applications, websites or other products.
Third-Party apps: Some of our Services contain widgets and social media features, such as the Twitter “tweet” button. These widgets and features collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on the Services, and may set a Cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Widgets and social media features are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our servers. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it. By using our website, you (the visitor) agree to allow third parties to process your IP address, in order to determine your location for the purpose of currency conversion. You also agree to have that currency stored in a session cookie in your browser (a temporary cookie which gets automatically removed when you close your browser). We do this in order for the selected currency to remain selected and consistent when browsing our website so that the prices can convert to your (the visitor) local currency.
With your consent: We share information about you with third parties when you give us consent to do so. For example, we often display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our public websites. With your consent, we may post your name alongside the testimonial.
Disabling Cookies and Beacons: If you are uncomfortable with the collection of such information through the use of Cookies and Beacons, we recommend disabling these features through your browser preferences, though please understand this will limit the performance and functionality of the Site. Your browser documentation should provide specific procedures for disabling cookie and beacon support.
Legal basis:
If data processing for the above purposes occurs with your consent, the legal basis is Article 6 (1) a GDPR (consent). This data processing otherwise occurs on the basis of Article 6 (1) f GDPR, whereby the legitimate interests are for the above purposes.

This processing of your data otherwise occurs on the basis of Article 6 (1) f GDPR, based on our legitimate interest and that of other users in the identification and prevention of fraud and clarification of criminal offences.
For Marketing and Advertisement
We use your data, also within the framework of data analysis, for advertising and market research, in particular for the following purposes:

For example, we use summarised (aggregated), statistical, depersonalised (anonymised) profile information or data which can only be assigned to persons via further intermediate steps (pseudonymised profile information) as well as shopping and device and access data in order to understand and analyse purchasing processes using data analysis. This gives us anonymous or pseudonymised findings on our users’ general usage behaviour.

We may also share / sell some or all of your personal information, with prior consent (active) of yours with another business entity in the future in the event should we plan to merge with, or be acquired by that business entity, or in the event of a re-organization, amalgamation, or restructuring of business . We forward your data if it is permissible under the applicable law. We work particularly closely with certain service providers, for example with technical service providers (e.g. running computer centres, cloud platform for storing the data) or with logistics companies or payment gateway service provider. These service providers may generally only process your data on our behalf under special conditions. Where we use them to process orders, the service providers only receive access to your data in the scope and for the time period required for provision of the relevant service. If they process your data outside the European Union, this may mean that your data is transmitted to a country with a lower data protection standard than the European Union. We share information globally, both internally within the Company, and externally with our partners in accordance with this policy.
